MPTS JOINS BRIGADA ESKWELA 2019
Cavite, Philippines - In the spirit of volunteerism and community service, Metro Pacific Tollways South (MPTS) actively participated in this year’s Brigada Eskwela held at Emiliano Tria Tirona Memorial National High School - Kawit, and at Alapan II Elementary School - Imus last May 20. Both schools are part of MPTS’ host communities along CAVITEX and CALAX.
Headed by the Communications and Stakeholder Management Team (CSM), MPTS donated 24 pails of paint per school that will be used for the beautification of the schools’ classrooms and other facilities.
“We’d like to express our heartfelt gratitude to the company, MPT South, and to the Management for your donation. This will benefit not just one classroom, but the entire school!”, said Ms. Gelsie M. Garrido, Chairperson of Brigada Eskwela 2019 of ETTMNHS.
“I’m sure that our students will greatly appreciate our newly painted classrooms once the classes have started on June 3. Thank you so much MPTSouth Team!” added Wilma Chiquillo, Principal of Alapan II Elementary School.
With the theme “Matatag na Bayan para sa Maunlad na Paaralan”, the Department of Education seeks to mobilize not just students and faculty members, but also other members of the community like private companies, LGUs and NGOs to donate their time, skills and resources to do clean-up, maintenance, minor repairs and touch-ups in public elementary and secondary schools in the country.
