Traffic Eases in CAVITEX

Paranaque City – As part of its traffic management scheme for its
ongoing roadway enhancements, the Cavite Expressway (CAVITEX)
opened 2 out of the 4 lanes of the Southbound flyover. Motorists
immediately felt the convenience of passing through this facility.

Department of Public Works and Highways, Secretary Mark Villar paid
a visit to CAVITEX to inspect this development. “The partial opening of
the flyover has made a difference in improving the flow of traffic and
passage of vehicles in CAVITEX. Motorists will feel the full benefits of its
ongoing enhancements once all of the lanes of this facility are opened
and all the other enhancements are completed” Sec. Villar added. The
southbound fly-over aims to improve traffic management at the
intersection of Pacific Drive and CAVITEX, which was managed via a
stop and go signaling system before the flyover opened.
