To most Filipinos, Undas, the Philippines’ celebration of All Saints’ Day, is
the time of the year when families pay their respects to and offer prayers
for their departed loved ones. This is more than just an ordinary tradition of
remembering the deceased as this has become a significant part of the
Philippine culture. And Filipinos have a unique way of spending this
holiday like no other. Camping out in cemeteries and memorial parks,
bringing food and drinks to share, making happy memories together — all
these make Undas a unique celebration of life and love.
The observance of Undas shows our deep sense of close family ties. For us,
it is one perfect occasion for bonding or reunion with relatives and friends.
It is has become a way for families to reunite with other loved ones who
return home from the city while some even fly back into the country.
During this season, the MPTC group is instrumental in enabling families
arrive safe and sound to gather for this occasion. Undas is one of the
holidays we make special preparations to ensure that all motorists are
equipped with necessary information and support as they travel our
expressways.
We implemented our “Safe Trip Mo, Sagot Ko” Motorist Assistance Program
to provide convenience to the public amid the surge of motorists traveling
to their provinces in North and South Luzon. Apart from the 24/7 traffic
monitoring, we enhanced our services by deploying more patrol officers
and tellers, opening additional toll collection points, setting up motorist
camps, offering free towing—basically providing everything that will help
our customers spend less time on the road, so they can have more time for
productive work and quality time for their loved ones. We even provided
our motorists with real-time traffic updates thru FB Live to guide them on
how to plan their trips properly.
But be it holiday or not, we, at MPTC, always put premium on the safety
and convenience of our customers just as we care for our own families.
