            By Jonah Pereyra, Human Resources

Five NLEX Road Warriors: Kiefer Ravena, Asi Taulava, Larry Fonacier, Juami Tiongson and the
newly added import Arnett Moultrie answer some questions about their Moms.

What makes you proud of your mom?

Kiefer: “Her being a superwoman who can do a lot of things, juggle up time for work at the same
time make sure, my Dad, Me and Thirdy, and Dani are well taken care of, meron kaming baon, di
naming iisipin yung mga bagay na di dapat isipin, like for me, all I have to do is play basketball and
rest then take care of things I that I have to do in preparation for my games kasi she’ll make sure that
everything is flattened out and lahat okay na talaga. For me, iyon yung isang bagay na sobrang
            proud ako sa mommy ko.”

Asi: “The fact that she is overprotective, took care of me from childhood. I had a rough upbringing,
was born in Tonga and then brought to the US to go to school. She left the island to come provide for
us to make a better living for me and my brothers and sisters. Her dream for us to go to school, get
studies and have a better future. Something better than what she went during her childhood. I am
very grateful for her, how I turned up, my brothers and sisters turned out well. We may live far apart
but our roots are tied up together and we all love our mother for it.”

Juami: “She raised my brother and I as a single mother, my
brother and I stayed with her and I learned a lot from her.
Yung pagiging independednt and strong. She is such a strong
woman. She never spoiled us kasi she wants us to learn the
hard way and she’s very respectable and very responsible and
                                                  independent.”
What do you and your mom

                                                  do often together?

Juami: “Before when I was in highschool and college, my mom, my brother and I will always
hear mass together, have dinner and watch a movie. Now that me and my brother have
girlfriends, most of the time we have dinner and movies. We make sure that we still give most of
            our time with our mom.”
