“Me Time”

We interviewed two dads, Marvin Senon and Heinz Orais, of Metro Pacific Tollways South in how they spent
their “me time.”
Facilities Engineering Marvin Senon, described by his colleagues as cheerful and funny and known for his
dedication at work. With 16 years engineering work experience under his belt, we were therefore curious about
how he spent his time outside the office.
“I love basketball pero hindi siya built yata for my body. So mas
gusto ko maglaro ng darts”, he said. Most of the people who
knew him played darts with him. In fact, he played in the 2017
Tollways Olympics with his team placing second. As a person
who loves to seek leisure after a long days of work, he also
mentioned his go-to secret place to relax, chill, and have “Me
time”. “Meron kami madalas puntahan ng mga kasama ko sa
trabaho para magrelax at magtanggal ng stress with a bottle of
beer sa Kawit, Cavite. Velenica’s Bar (Imus, Cavite).” The place
offers a wide array of food and beverages so it’s really relaxing
for him.
But the best place for him to relax is his home. Marvin said,
“Masaya at may sumasalubong na anak at asawa pag uwi mo
galing trabaho, nawawala ang pagod ko kapag nagbless sila at
sabay yayakap sa akin.” His pride and joy after nine years of
marriage are his three beautiful children.
Marketing Heinz Orais, also known to be the guy who goes along with everyone, like his name sake – everything
goes with Heinz KETCHUP. Heinz believes in “do the impossible,” quoting MPT South President Luigi Bautista.
With more than 10 years of work experience in Marketing, Heinz seemed always occupied and on-the-go.
Recognized for his dedication and versatility, we asked him how he finds time to chill? How does he release stress
from his busy schedule?
“Wala akong sports. Pero may iba akong hilig, passion.” Heinz directly answered when we got the chance to
hang-out with him at Kawit office. “Most weekends, I dedicate it to my business, which is Photography. I have
regular and new clients who book me and my team and we do shoots whether outdoor or indoor.” Before getting
into his own photography biz, he worked in companies that allowed him to train and further enhance his
photography, even production management skills. “Yung dating boss ko, medyo bata pa ako nun..Binigay niya na
lang bigla sa akin yung company DSLR camera, I covered his event for him and after seeing my shots, ayun!
Boom! Ako na ang official photographer ng company nun. Hanggang ngayon ramdam ko pa rin. Hehehe.” His
skill, which he found out to be truly his talent and passion, gave birth to his business which he named Project
Zero Studios. He started his own studio at home where his first clients were his friends and family until it
expanded through referrals.
“Yes, narerelax ako sa pag-take ng photos, when I have a raket. But at the end of the day, the most relaxing time I
look forward to is spending time with my twins, Gavin and River, and my eldest son, Madoc. Walang tatalo sa play
time naming together with Mommy Ty bago magsleep.” To be with his family after a very tiring day is Heinz’
highlight of the day. “Minsan I take my family during my shoots. It’s challenging with the kids, syempre mga bata
yan, magulo. Pero the fun is there, they’re so supportive kapag sinabihan naman na to keep quiet. After my shoot,
they just all want to go home and play. That’s it. Home is where the heart is.” This proves that staycations or
vacations are BEST when spent with the family.
