Nutrition Apps for Healthy Eating

An unhealthy diet is one of the common shared risk factors to obesity and non-communicable diseases. National
Nutrition Council’s latest data reveal that the prevalence of the incidence of overweight and obesity among
adults 20 years old and above in Calabarzon is 32.4%, which is higher than the national prevalence rate of 31.1%.
With July being a National Nutrition Month, we would like to showcase some of the trending nutrition apps.
Fooducate (fooducate.com)
An online health application for everyone, that helps to track
the foods what we eat and to see the progress of activities to
achieve our goals. It gives advice on food calories, and
suggest different healthy recipes. It is also good for those who
wants to get fit and lose weight at the same time.

It is a food online application which able to give free recipes
of Filipino dishes. They also provide step-by-step cooking
procedures for simple and easy preparation. Budget friendly
and healthy recipes for everyday cooking. It also suggests
best culinary school from local to international schools.

A helpful online application for calorie counter to give idea in
our food we intake. As they promote, “Lose Weight Effectively.
Fast and Healthy”, it makes the user’s healthy goals to feel
achievable. It serves as nutrition diary, and suggest different
diet plans.

Shopwell (shopwell.com)
It is an online shopping application that provides healthy
products and delivers on your convenient time and place. You
are able to personalized your food that fits on your lifestyle,
and give recommendations for easy and manageable
shopping. In addition, it suggests foods that are right for the
customer preference such as gluten free products, heart
healthy, and more.

A diet plan application that helps the user to reach their
healthy goals and find great weight loss strategy. It also
counts calorie and its macros, and suggest healthy recipes as
easy and quick. It shows your water level intake every day and
suggests the right number of glasses that should drink. Able
to provide a chart that shows your daily progress from your
goal intake to your current intake of foods.
