in 1st MPT South

Metro Pacific Tollways’ NLEX Road Warriors Coach Jay
Serrano and 6’11” center Ervin Sotto together with his
teammates spearheaded the opening ceremony of
the 1st MPTSOUTH Basketboys tournament last May
18, 2018. They shared their basketball knowledge and
techniques by conducting a basketball clinic to all
participating players aged 13 to 15 years old.
Cavitex Basketboys is on its 4th year, and this year it
boasts of the MPTSOUTH branding. The activity
continues to impart the spirit of camaraderie and
sportsmanship and grace in competition of
neighboring barangays through sports.
NLEX Road Warriors led 1st MPT South Basketboys
A come from behind win by Barangay Manuyo Uno
made them the Champion in the 1st MPTSOUTH
Basketboys Tournament held at Sangley Point Naval
Base Gymnasium in Cavite City last May 30, 2018. They
won over the powerhouse team of Barangay Sto. Nino
who swept all opponents in the elimination round. The
game was dominated by Bgy. Sto. Nino the whole time
until the closing minutes of the game where in the
3-point shots of Bgy. Manuyo Uno kept on pouring.
Defense also came into play as Manuyo Uno consistently
stole the ball from its opponent and converting the
moves into fastbreak points.
